The Royal Armory Museum’s existing garments from the 17th Century is one of the best collections of this time period in the world. This collection offers a priceless opportunity for me to study early garments and scholarship. Of particular importance are their 17th and 18th century collections of armor and royal and court dress. The collection of livery will provide key information on how men’s fashion turned into uniforms, and how military dress influenced men’s fashion.
